About
Eastern wisdom meets modern home design.
ModernQiHome is written and edited by a small team, not one named expert with a marketing bio. We think that's worth saying plainly: every guide here is a team process — researched, drafted, and checked against sources before it goes up — rather than a single freelance byline dressed up as a credentialed authority.
Our job is translation, not invention. Eight Mansions (Ba Zhai) Feng Shui is the classical framework behind the directions and layouts we write about; we're upfront when we're applying that framework to a modern Western home rather than reporting it unchanged. When an article makes a factual claim about a material — citrine treatment, for example — we link to primary references like GIA rather than asserting it from nowhere. Our gift and bracelet guides are explicitly curated research, not personal product testing, and we label them that way.
What we won't do: fear-based "bad luck" framing, guaranteed-outcome claims, or heavy traditional decor that doesn't fit a rented apartment or a Western floor plan. What we will do: tell you when a listing is missing information instead of guessing, and correct pages when we get something wrong.
